OPERATIONG SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Think before operating: this blade can slice through hard stone as if it were butter. So what could it do to your arm or leg?
Diamond blades which are improperly mounted or incorrectly used are dangerous and can cause serious injuries.

1.General

1-1.In order to guarantee safety and best cutting performance the operator must read and understand and follow the instruction manual before operating.
1-2.All users must strictly follow the safety instructions existing in the laws, decrees and technical standards of their country and in machine/ blade instructions.
1-3.No one should attempt to operate any power equipment unless they are familiar with its operation and they have authorization to do so.
1-4.Students must have a full orientation and must be supervised while operating any of the machine tools.
1-5.Do not work with power machinery unless another person is in the near vicinity.

2.Transport and storage
2.1. Diamond blades are easily damaged, must be handled and transported with care.
2.2. Do remove the diamond blades from the machine during transit to prevent accidental damage.
2.3 Diamond blades must be stored in dry conditions in special racks or containers.

3.Correct selection of the diamond blades
3.1. Follow any restriction of use and any specific instruction which may be indicated on the diamond blades or in the manual or in the manufacturer's catalogue.
3.2.Ensure that the diamond blades are suitable for the application and have the correct dimensions.
3.3. Check that the maximum RPM of the machine spindle on which you will mount the diamond blades, never exceeds the maximum RPM printed on the label or on the product. The speed should be reduced by 20-30% from the Max. RPM while cutting different materials
3.4.Don't use your blade on metals or other unsuitable materials.

4. Inspection and testing before use
4.1.Check the machinery thoroughly before using it, prior to starting it up.
4.2.Carefully inspect the blades, never use worn or damaged blades

5.Mounting
5.1.Only mount the diamond blades on machines designed for the operation.
5.2.The arrow indicating the direction of rotation must be identical on the blades and on the machine.
5.3.Only mount the diamond blades with proper flanges supplied with the handheld machine and ensure they are clean and check both plates are the same diameter. Flanges should never be modified. The bore hole of the blade must fit the machine spindle without play. Check blade nuts for tightness.
5.4. Don't force blade on blade shaft or mount blade on undersized spindle.

6.Test-run
6.1.Before starting the test run check that the machine is equipped with suitable guarding which must be in the right position and locked. The test-run of the diamond blades must be carried out under no-load conditions for about 30 seconds after each mounting.

7. Instructions for use
7.1.Before cutting:
7.1.1.Don't allow onlookers in the work area while the saw is in operation.
7.1.2.Keep your fingers clear of all cutting tools or moving devices.
7.1.3.Never use your bare hands to remove chips, shavings, or other material from your work.Use a brush or push stick.
7.1.5.Work pieces shall be firmly secured or clamped before starting work.
7.1.6.Operators should stand away from and to the side of the blade when in use.
7.1.7.Do ensure that the blade is in balance and running true. A blade which is out of balance means increased wear and even possible destruction of the saw.
7.1.8.Do ensure that the machine bearings and spindle are not worn otherwise blade life will be reduced.
7.1.9.Do only use machines which have an approved safety guard
7.1.10.Do inspect blades frequently to detect cracks or undercutting of the steel core and segments which could lead to segment loss.
7.1.11.Do tighten drive belts to ensure full available power.
7.1.12.Do use drive pin if fitted to the machine.
7.1.13.Don't use paper washers to pack out the clamp plates.
7.1.14.Don't operate machine with damaged or open blade guard.

7.2. When cutting
7.2.1.Make a steady cut. Don't apply pressure and force to your diamond blade through the cut,the weight of the machine will sufficient . Increased pressure means increased wear and overheat. Operate engine at proper speed. Avoid hard contact and knocks. Do use the blade with a gentle reciprocating motion - especially when cutting hard materials, and cut in the direction of the arrow. Never bend the blade out of the line during cutting. Do avoid tilting the blade when cutting in the material. The cutting blade must not be used for curve or circle cutting or grinding. Do ensure that the blade cuts parallel to the wheel axis. The blades must not be allowed to jam in the cut.
7.2.2.Ensure that the diamond blades do not get too hot. If the blades get overheat, remove them from the cut and allow to cool. Try to use water as a coolant if it is available to prevent blade over-heated, even it is marked dry cutting.
7.2.3.Don't adjust machine when it is running. Never alter the rpm or governor setting. When adjusting or installing or changing blade, disconnect spark plug
7.2.4.If the blades become blunt, cut brick or sandstone or abrasive wheel to re-sharpen.
7.2.5.For wet cutting,do ensure use correct amount of water and adequate water supply to both sides of the blade.
7.2.6.Do ensure that the machine is not dropped on the blade.
7.2.7.Be careful to avoid burns from the overheated segments or hot engine parts.

8. Grinding
8.1.1When using cup grinding wheels for rough grinding, the grinding wheels should be positioned towards the work piece surface maintaining an angle of 5-10 degrees. In the case of finish grinding the tool face should be held parallel to the work piece.
8.2.Before commencing grinding, allow the grinding wheel to run at operating speed for at least one minute.
8.3.When commencing a grinding operation, bring the object into contact with the grinding wheel slowly and smoothly avoiding impact or bumping motions.
8.4.Move back and forth across the face of the object being ground as this prevents ruts or grooves from forming.
8.5.Dress the wheel on the face only. Dressing the sides may cause it to become too thin for safe use. Do not press too hard on the wheel.
8.6.Vibrating wheels should not be used. They must be dressed or replaced or the bearings of the shaft replaced if they are worn.

9. Safety measures
9.1.Remove ties, rings, watches and other jewelry. Long hair should be tied back and loose sleeves should not be worn. Do not wear gloves when operating a buffing, grinding or polishing wheel.
9.2.Make sure the wheel guards are in place and properly adjusted and tightened.
9.3.Do not raise protective shield from around blade when operating saw.
9.4.The operator must use personal protection equipment such as safety glasses under a face shield, leather gloves, masks ,protective goggles, head cover and safety shoes.
9.5.Do not touch the work piece until you are sure that it is cool.
9.6.Never leave machine unattended with the engine running. Shut off engine when not in use, do not leave until the wheel has come to a complete stop.
9.7.Stop the machine immediately if some odd noise or vibration develops. Investigate the source of the problem and do not operate the equipment until the trouble has been corrected.
